Jenna Lyons is taking over for Tracy Gardner, who plans to resign in September.

J.Crew Group Inc. announced executive creative director Jenna Lyons will add the title of president in September when current president of retail and direct channels Tracy Gardner resigns.

Gardner says she is resigning to spend more time with her children.

Her duties will be divided among several executives.

  • Trish Donnelly, executive vice president of the direct channel and Laura Willensky, senior vice president of Madewell, will now both report to Drexler.
  • Libby Wadle’s title will change from executive vice president, factory and of the retailer’s Madewell denim label, to executive vice president of retail and factory.  She will report directly to chairman and CEO Millard Drexler.
  • James Scully, chief administrative officer and chief financial officer, will also oversee merchandise production responsibilities.

“The team at J.Crew has considerable depth, and I am pleased to announce Jenna’s promotion along with additional important organizational changes,” says Drexler. “I am also confident in our ability to achieve a seamless transition.”
