ShopNBC names former QVC executive vice president Randy Ronning to its board and hires former QVC U.S. commerce president Darlene Daggett as consultant.

Shop NBC’s new executive appointments go beyond the promotion of president Keith Stewart to CEO. The multi-channel retailer also has named two retail industry veterans having long associations with TV and web retailer QVC as a board member and a consultant.

Randy Ronning, most recently executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of QVC Inc., whose parent company, Liberty Interactive Grop, is No. 11 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide , is now on ShopNBC’s board. Ronning oversaw merchandising brand management and merchandise analysis efforts at QVC and QVC.com from 2005 to 2007. Earlier at QVC, Ronning was executive vice president overseeing affiliate sales and marketing, information services, marketing and sales analysis, direct and corporate marketing, public relations and charitable giving.

Ronning also has worked with J.C. Penney Co. , No. 15 the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide , for 30 years. There, he was president of its catalog and Internet divisions. He also held a variety of other positions at Penney including president of its home and leisure and international divisions. Ronning`s past board affiliations include serving on the board of directors at Forrester Research Inc., treasurer of the Electronic Retailing Association and board chairman at e-commerce fulfillment firm CommerceHub.

ShopNBC’s new strategic consultant and advisor to the CEO Darlene Daggett was most recently president of U.S. commerce at QVC. During 18 years with QVC, Daggett held several leadership positions including executive vice president of merchandising; senior vice president, home merchandising; and senior vice president, vice president and director of merchandising. She currently works as executive director and founder of Ikatu International, an independent organization addressing global youth employability, with a strong focus on entrepreneurism. Earlier in her career, she was president and co-founder of Acapella, a women’s clothing company.
