2019 Omnichannel Report
Results show that successful omnichannel strategy leads to more sales and customer loyalty. At Nordstrom, shoppers who are both online and store shoppers on average spend five times more than single channel shoppers, and profitability per customer doubles for omnichannel shoppers. At J.C. Penney, 40% of its online orders are picked up in store, and a third of shoppers who pick up an online order in a store make an additional purchase during that visit.
This 70-page 2019 Omnichannel Report analyzes the omnichannel services at 10 leading retailer chains. Beyond new omnichannel technology at these retailers, Internet Retailer also evaluated omnichannel innovations at any retailer, such as “scan and go” shopping at supermarket chain Meijer Inc. In addition, Internet Retailer assessed Amazon’s omnichannel initiatives and how it is now changing the game for all retailers.
