  • Brazilian mass merchant Magazine Luiza SA, the largest online retailer in Latin America, grew its first-party ecommerce sales by more than 28% in 2021 — a sizable lift after the company already more than doubled its digital revenue the prior year. 
  • Brazilian retail chain Raia Drogasil SA was the fastest-growing online retailer in Latin America. The drugstore operator increased its ecommerce sales by nearly 79% in 2021 as digital penetration reached 8.7% in 2021, up from 5.9% the year prior. 
  • The five largest online retailers in Latin America, including Magazine Luiza SA and B2W Digital, accounted for roughly half — 49.8% — of the Latin America 300’s collective web sales in 2021. That’s up from a 47.1% share the prior year. 
  • The median web sales growth for retailers ranked in the Latin America 300 was 9.3% in 2021
