Walmart has announced the return of Walmart Deals in June, which it scheduled to overlap with Amazon’s summer Prime Day event.
The one-week summer sales event will also coincide with Target Circle Deal Days. Walmart said eligible Walmart+ members will have early access to an online-only “curated assortment of high-demand” product drop in the first 24 hours of the event, while supplies last. The event will also feature deals on brands, product categories and back-to-school essentials, according to Walmart.
This Walmart Deals promotional period comes earlier than last year, when it ran from July 8 to July 13. It also runs longer than both Amazon’s and Target’s overlapping sales periods this summer.
Walmart is No. 2 in the Top 2000. The database is Digital Commerce 360’s ranking of North America’s online retailers by their annual ecommerce sales.
Walmart is also No. 8 in the Global Online Marketplaces. That database ranks the top such marketplaces by third-party gross merchandise value (GMV).
The retailer is among the “Big Four” Mass Merchants that Digital Commerce 360 covers in depth as part of the newly published State of American Ecommerce Report.
When is Walmart Deals 2026?
Walmart Deals starts online at midnight ET on Monday, June 22, and in stores at 6 a.m. local time, the retailer announced. It will run through Sunday, June 28.
The retailer is not requiring a membership for consumers to access its promotions. However, Walmart+ loyalty program members will get a head start online.
Walmart Deals will include discounts on “thousands of items,” the retailer said. This include, among others:
- Collectibles
- Electronics
- Fashion
- Furniture
- Skin care
- Toys
Walmart said shoppers will have options including curbside pickup, express delivery in 30 minutes or less, and two-day shipping. It said customers can choose how and when they want the retailer to deliver their deals.
Some W+ members are not eligible for the event’s early access benefit, the retailer said. Those include:
- $1 trial members
- Free trial W+ Student
- W+ Assist members.
When was Walmart+ Week 2025?
As the name suggests, Walmart+ Week ran for seven days in 2025, from April 28 through May 4. Months later, Walmart Deals 2025 ran from July 8 to July 13.
In addition to its online sales deals, Walmart+ Week included perks such as:
- 50 cents off each gallon of gas at participating Exxon and Mobil stations
- Six months of Paramount+ with Showtime
- Up to two free sandwiches from Burger King a day with a purchase of at least $1
- One free express delivery for everyday essentials that will arrive in as soon as one hour
- Walmart cash for members who take advantage of at least two event offers or who use mobile scan and go in-store
“The remarkable growth of Walmart+ reflects how we’re delivering unmatched value to our members and customers,” said Seth Dallaire, executive vice president and chief growth officer of Walmart U.S., in a statement at the time. “We recognize and appreciate the loyalty of our Walmart+ members, who continue to utilize and enjoy the diverse range of benefits available across multiple categories, such as streaming, travel, and fast-food. Walmart+ Week celebrates this momentum by helping our members maximize their suite of benefits in a way only Walmart can with the membership that pays for itself.”
