2020 sales boom leads to 2021 challenges

Increased demand for goods and large swings in the demand in certain product categories—coupled with disruption in the supply chain—has caused massive delays, shortages and price increases for goods and raw materials. For many retailers, this means their costs are higher and they do not have adequate inventory to meet shopper demand.
