Mobile payment options
More retailers are adding mobile payment options as well, such as Apple Inc.’s Apple Pay and PayPal Inc.’s Venmo to their sites and apps to make it simple for shoppers to check out on their phones.
Venmo, for instance, has allowed merchants to accept Venmo as a form of payment with its service Pay with Venmo since 2016. Roughly 2 million merchants accept Venmo as a form of payment, according to a Venmo spokeswoman. In the 2018 Internet Retailer Top 1000, 12 retailers accept Venmo, including Foot Locker Retail Inc. and Lululemon Athletica Inc.
