BrandShop Launches a New Suite of Solutions to Power Fortune 1000 Brand Marketplaces; Appoints Aaron Turner as Chief Technology

NEW YORK — FEBRUARY 17, 2015 — BrandShop (http://www.brandshop.com), the leading provider of branded digital commerce solutions, announced today the launch of a robust suite of offerings aimed at powering and scaling web and mobile Brand Marketplaces that drive consumer engagement and commerce directly for Fortune 1000 companies. From strategy to cross-platform development and logistics, the Company’s Brand Marketplace Solutions fuse technology and fulfillment capabilities to streamline the way consumers discover, experience and ultimately, purchase products. To spearhead the growth and operations of its Brand Marketplace Solutions, the Company has appointed Aaron Turner as Chief Technology Officer and Josh Kaplan as Executive Vice President, both joining BrandShop from eBay Enterprise.

PricewaterhouseCoopers’ 2014 Retail Survey reported that while seventy percent of consumers in the U.S. have made purchases directly from manufacturers, there’s an even greater opportunity for brands to drive direct engagement and transactions through trusted, authentic experiences in the future. Co-founded by Brian F. Martin and Reuben S. Hendell with a mission to disrupt the trillion dollar e-commerce industry, BrandShop aims to help brands increase their consumer engagement and sales that come through direct interactions with consumers.

“Our mission is to help brands create the best shopping experience for their consumers,” said Reuben S. Hendell, co-founder and CEO of BrandShop. “There are already a lot of places where consumers can buy products and we’re not looking to replace that. What we are looking to do is optimize their shopping experiences through Brand Marketplaces that fully represent the power of the brand, the feel of the brand, and the information of the brand, regardless if the transaction is happening online or in store at a retail partner.”

With the appointment of a new Chief Technology Officer and Chief Client Officer, BrandShop is bolstering its leadership team to include domain experts in digital commerce technology and development. Prior to joining BrandShop, Turner served as the Head of Delivery Operations at eBay Enterprise where he led teams comprised of program management, media management, technical services, resource allocation and billing operations. Kaplan, also from eBay Enterprise, served as the Head of Enterprise Sales & Business Development where he oversaw strategic relationships and led a three-region team toward aggressive expansion goals. Hendell was also at ebay where he served as the Chief Strategy Officer for eBay Enterprise.
