Katie Evans is chief technology editor at Digital Commerce 360, where she leads tech-related coverage, strategy, writing and reporting for the Digital Commerce 360 website, magazine and reports, including the Leading Vendors to the Top 1000 and the Guide to Ecommerce Platforms. She also researches and writes custom content for Digital Commerce 360 clients. Katie is a frequent speaker and moderator at industry events, including the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition, Shoptalk and Money 20/20. Katie holds a B.A. in journalism from Bradley University and is a Fulbright Journalism Scholar, completing studies at the University of Ljubljana and University of Maribor in Slovenia.

John Clem, CEO and General Manager, Metapack

John is responsible for steering the business following the Metapack acquisition by Stamps.com in July 2018.

John was on the senior management team at Stamps.com for fifteen years and was Vice President, Product and Service Operations for six years. He has also served as Director of Corporate Strategy and as a Director of Marketing where he led the launch of Stamps.com’s Package Insurance and PhotoStamps products.

Before joining Stamps.com, John was a management consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton and also worked as an engineer and manager in the petrochemical and utilities industries.

Robert Gerwig is Senior Vice President of Distribution at Sweetwater. Gerwig is a fulfillment, manufacturing, and operational executive with more than thirty years of experience delivering results at global organizations. He has a proven track record of improving speed of delivery, increasing revenue, reducing costs, driving efficiencies, and elevating the customer experience. Previously, Gerwig has served in roles including Vice President of Operations & Logistics at Macy’s and Senior Operations Manager at Zappos.

Jim Tuchler, President, Gifts for You LLC

Long-time internet operator, starting in the mid 90s as GM of a newspaper chain’s online efforts. Then a heavy dose of ecommerce at sears.com from 1999 to 2005. Then bought an ecommerce business in the midst of the recession in 2009 and it has been 11 years of (mostly) fun since then.

Matthew Alland, Chief Experience Officer, Olivela

Matthew Alland is the Chief Experience Officer at Olivela. At Olivela, Matthew is responsible for the customers’ holistic experience across channels, including overseeing the company’s innovative retail strategy from website platform to product delivery.

Prior to his role at Olivela, Matthew served as the Managing Director of Wednesday New York, a boutique fashion advertising agency. Matthew spent the majority of his career in both advertising and management consulting at R/GA and Accenture, working with some of the most prestigious and innovative brands including Nike, Goldman Sachs, Louis Vuitton, Abercrombie & Fitch, Michael Kors, Verizon, Bank of America, Google and Intel.
