Currently the Global Head of E-Commerce at REN Clean Skincare, AJ Patel has spent over seven years in leadership roles within Unilever Prestige, including a role as the Director of Analytics at Murad. With over a decade of experience and expertise in digital marketing and e-commerce, Patel’s grasp of the ever-changing digital landscape and passion for sustainable practices led him to current position at REN. In 2021, renskincare.com was the fastest growing DTC brand in Unilever’s US prestige portfolio. Patel received his MBA from the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University, with an emphasis in Strategy and Marketing. His coursework has spanned over several countries, with studies based in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Costa Rica.
Ryan is an entrepreneur, award winning creative, technologist, and inventor. He has given keynotes alongside Bob Iger (CEO, Disney) and Steve Wozniak (Co-Founder, Apple). Before BlendJet he produced a Super Bowl ad and was nominated for an EMMY. He founded a creative agency that made commercials for dozens of Fortune 500 brands. Ryan also co-founded BrandAds, the first software for measuring video ads online. It was acquired by Extreme Reach, which is now used to distribute 9 out of 10 TV ads, measure digital video ads, and pay actors over $1B annually in royalties.
Gretchen Salois is a senior editor at Digital Commerce 360, writing and editing news and research articles focusing on ecommerce and emerging trends. She began her reporting career in Boston covering corporate governance and business news followed by a move to Chicago to focus on the metals, manufacturing and technology sectors. Gretchen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international relations with a concentration in economics and business from Boston University.
