2019 Top Performers in Global Ecommerce

Consumers worldwide purchased $2.86 trillion in retail goods online in 2018, up 18% from the prior year, according to a just-released Internet Retailer report, which ranks and details the performance of the current leaders in ecommerce around the globe, in major regions and key merchandise segments. The 2019 Top Performers in Global Ecommerce identifies the 100 leading companies driving the impressive growth in online retailing, which now accounts for more than 15% of total retail sales globally, fully one-third higher than its market penetration as recent as 2016.

In advance of its annual rankings of the top 1,000 e-retailers in North America, and each of the top 500 in Europe, Asia and Latin America, Internet Retailer has analyzed financial data and industry trends to produce a revealing first look at the performance of top global online retailers. The first-ever Top Performers in Global Ecommerce shows how the leaders in ecommerce fared against the backdrop of the overall retail economy in 2018.
