Internet Retailer compiled and analyzed the anonymous responses of 89 e-retail marketers who completed an online survey in August. Those respondents are divvying up their digital marketing spending across a number of digital channels both to drive consumers to make a purchase—online or offline—and to boost brand awareness. While retailers will never cease trying to find the ideal marketing mix, the importance of doing so is rising as costs across many marketing channels rise.
