Snapshot: Online sales for home goods saw a 27.0% growth rate in 2018 from 2017

Internet Retailer’s 2019 Home Goods Report reveals a steady growth rate for those in the Home Goods category, including retailers like Wayfair Inc. (No. 12 in Internet Retailer’s 2019 Top 1000) and Williams-Sonoma (No. 31), as well as dedicated merchants—those specializing in the eight subcategories associated with home goods such as furniture, kitchen, decorative lighting and mattresses.

Looking at demographics in this category, Home Goods shoppers making $30,000 or less annually (median=27.4% of consumers) were the largest income bracket for the category, followed by those earning $30,000-$60,000 annually (median=26.0%).
