But to succeed, companies must first see the value of change within their own organization and then create a digital commerce and transformation strategy that is right for their enterprise.

Those are two of the key themes Randy Altschuler, CEO and co-founder of Xometry Inc., a global digital marketplace for on-demand manufacturing, will address during his keynote session at Digital Commerce 360’s upcoming in-person event, EnvisionB2B Conference & Exhibition, premiering from June 8-10 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Altschuler’s keynote: Digital Commerce: A Mandate for Change Management, will debut on Thursday, June 9 from 9:30 am to 10:00 am central.

Randy Altschuler, CEO of Xometry Inc. and featured keynote speaker at the EnvisionB2B Conference & Expo this June 8-10 in Chicago, will discuss its $300 million acquisition of Thomas and plans to grow market share in the rapidly expanding B2B marketplace industry.

As the CEO of a rapidly growing public B2B marketplace company, Altschuler knows the strategic importance of digital commerce as a game changer for how companies can change with the times and prosper in the age of the digital-first business customer.

During his keynote, Altschuler will discuss how digital business transformation is reshaping how manufacturers of all sizes are producing goods and services and getting these products to market. He also will discuss the role digital commerce is playing in Xometry’s ongoing digital transformation and what business organizations of any size should think strategically about as well.

Since launching in 2013, Xometry Inc. has managed steady growth as an online marketplace where more than 40,000 buyers from companies like automaker BMW and pharmaceutical manufacturer Moderna purchase manufacturing services from an international network of more than 5,000 manufacturers and machine shops.

In December, Xometry—which raised more than $300 million in an initial public offering of stock in July—acquired the B2B marketplace company Thomas, which operates Thomasnet.com with more than 1.3 million registered users. Thomas’s client base includes such organizations as manufacturers General Electric Co., Johnson & Johnson, Lockheed Martin, and Eaton Corp.; distributor W.W. Grainger Inc.; the National Aeronautics and Space Administration; and the U.S. departments of defense, transportation, and homeland security. Thomasnet hosts more than 500,000 commercial and industrial sellers.

In his keynote conversation, Altschuler will discuss Xometry’s $300 million acquisition of Thomas and how Xometry is looking to grow its market share in the rapidly expanding B2B marketplace industry.
