US Foods Inc. continues to expand its digital footprint, leveraging mobile and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive sales growth and efficiency.
The company is seeing increased engagement with its mobile app, MOXē, and continues to introduce AI-driven tools to optimize operations.
US Foods digital sales
For the fiscal third quarter ending Sept. 30, US Foods reported sales of $9.72 billion. That’s a 7% increase from $9.10 billion in the same period last year. Net income reached $148 million, up from $95 million in Q3 2023.
CEO Dave Flitman highlighted US Foods’ ongoing commitment to digital transformation, particularly through AI, during a recent earnings call.
“Given the significant role food costs play for our customers, we introduced a new food cost calculator embedded in MOXē,” Flitman told investors. “This tool tracks and manages food costs over time, providing valuable insights to support menu pricing, inventory management, and product selection. It’s an innovative solution available to all U.S. Foods customers, reinforcing our digital leadership.”
Central to US Foods’ digital sales strategy is MOXē, the ecommerce portal it launched in late 2022, which is now used by 84% of customers for orders and business management.
“We are the industry leader in digital innovation and have established a strong competitive edge,” Flitman added.
