Before it started to redesign its B2B ecommerce site, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC found out what its customers wanted in the online buying experience. The discovery is already paying off in customer satisfaction, Bendix says.

Bendix—a manufacturer of air brake systems and other safety and energy management technologies and energy management systems for commercial vehicles—has completed the first two phases of the redesign and is preparing for the third and final phase of final rollout in July. The revamped Bendix.com debuted in January.

The next step in the rollout will add a feature that lets customers order services online.  “Not everyone wants to call an 800 number when there is a service issue,” says Marylou Hornung, director of sales operations for Bendix. “This way, all customers need to do is click a link.”
