A preview of data from the 2021 Digital Commerce 360 Top 1000 finds that social media and organic search are driving more traffic to retail sites in 2020 compared with 2019. Display ads and paid search deliver fewer website visitors to Top 1000 retailers in 2020. Of all the channels, organic search generates the majority of traffic at a median of 51.8% of a Top 1000 merchant’s 2020 traffic, up from 37.3% of web traffic in 2019.
