To increase delivery speed without paying shipping carriers more, retailers who hand off orders faster can cost-effectively cut down overall shipping times. In our tests, the top 10 fastest retailers averaged 8.3 hours from order placement to sending a shipment notification. Overall, the 40 orders in our test were shipped after an average of 32.1 hours.
