Sporting goods and custom apparel platform OrderMyGear LLC hired Matt Kaplan as the head of enterprise sales, a new position at the company. Kaplan previously was director of sales for team sports at Under Armour Inc., No. 33 in the Internet Retailer 2018 Top 1000

“Matt will help connect our growing network of team dealers to large opportunities that were difficult to access and scale prior to OrderMyGear,” says Kent McKeaigg, CEO of OrderMyGear. “He will work with brands and national leagues to bridge the opportunity gap in this fragmented landscape.”

OrderMyGear in April announced it had raised $35 million from Susquehanna Growth Equity. The Dallas-based company is using the funds to develop a technology that can help distributors and sales representatives identify more groups who might be interested in its service, develop communications to convey the “limited time” message and encourage more purchases and to help salespeople and distributors in the process of closing down an online store and delivering products.

The platform handled nearly $190 million in sales in 2017, OrderMyGear says.
