Boxed Up offers consumers free priority shipping, 2% cash back rewards and access to members-only discounts and promotions.

Boxed Wholesale customers who subscribe to the retailer’s new $49 annual membership program will get free two-day shipping among other perks.

The company, which sells products in bulk quantities similar to Costco Corp. and Walmart Inc.’s Sam’s Club, announced the program, called Boxed Up, on Monday. In addition to speedy shipping, it offers 2% back on each order that can be applied to another Boxed order and access to discounts and promotions only available to Boxed Up members. A few examples of deals and promotions for Boxed Up members include 25% off Capri Sun and Starbucks Cold Brew products.

All Boxed customers receive free two-day shipping on orders over $49—orders less than that cost $6.99 to ship—while Boxed Up offers free priority shipping on all orders. Other perks of Boxed Up include price matching of competitors.

Boxed Wholesale, No. 326 in the Internet Retailer Top 500, is offering a free 30-day trial of Boxed Up. The retailer says it is working with consumer packaged goods brands including Keurig, Pepsi and Kraft for deals for Boxed Up members. Boxed Up subscribers also are entered to win prizes including Vitamix blenders, Keurig coffee makers and Dyson fans. Boxed Up is available to both B2B and B2C customers, the retailer says. Boxed recently told Internet Retailer that B2B sales account for about 20% of its revenue and about 50% of new business.

“Boxed Up is the premium service that our customers have been asking for,” says Ash Prashar, vice president of communications for Boxed. He says Boxed conducted a historical customer survey and found there was a demand for deeper discounts and unique offers combined with a willingness to pay for a premium service that provided those benefits. “So, we decided to roll out a premium service that rewards loyal customers with perks and promotions for shopping on Boxed.”

Boxed has been busy volleying reported acquisition offers from Kroger Co. (No. 88) and Amazon (No. 1) as of late. It’s also had some high-level executives exit the company recently, including its chief financial officer Naeem Ishaq. He follows in the footsteps of two other executives who left in recent months: Boxed’s head of its business-to-business division, Behzad Soltani, left in February, and its executive in charge of merchandising, Heather Mayo, left in September.

Boxed, which launched in 2013 and generated more than $100 million in sales in 2017, now has nearly 600 employees.
