ATI Physical Therapy introduces a mobile app that lets patients access assigned exercise, track appointments and communicate with their therapists.

A big provider of physical therapy services is rolling out its first mobile app to give patients more options to sync up and track their therapy session.

ATI Physical Therapy, which provides outpatient rehabilitation and adjacent healthcare services in 700 locations, launched the Apple and Android app as a tool to give patients more access to their assigned exercises, and to enable them to better track their appointments and communicate with their therapists, says ATI chief information officer Simon Thomas.

“By enabling our patients’ with on-the-go access to a wide range of resources to enhance their treatment experience, they will now have the convenience to explore and further engage with their physical therapy program.”

A unique feature of the ATI App allows patients to rate each therapy visit.

With the free app, a patient will be able to track her clinical goals and treatment progress, access personalized exercise programs and related content, and sync appointments with her electronic calendars.

The app also provides users with access to the ATI patient portal, allowing them to post comments about providers. “Providing an application that serves not only to improve the patient experience, but change the face of how patients and clinics collaborate was a major goal of this project,” Thomas says. “For example, a unique feature of the ATI App allows patients to rate each therapy visit.”
