This major hire continues Edgenet’s momentum to deliver consumer-empowering tech innovations to retailers and suppliers

NASHVILLE, Tennessee, June 22, 2017 – Nashville-based Software as a Service company Edgenet has named Alex Panzano as senior vice president of strategy. His expertise will further enhance Edgenet’s reputation as an authority in delivering consumer-empowering tech innovations to retailers and brands. Edgenet also recently hired Mikael Solomon, formerly of Salsify, as its vice president of product.

Panzano, formerly of Lowe’s, brings a comprehensive knowledge of big-box retailers and their strategy for delivering a full omnichannel experience to consumers in the face of competition from online-only merchants.

At Lowe’s, Panzano served as business planning and alignment leader for C-suite executives. He was a key player in Lowe’s current effort to transform their retail experience through greater integration with high-quality online product content.

“Alex’s subject matter expertise and industry knowledge, combined with Mikael Solomon’s passion for innovation in digital commerce, puts Edgenet in a league of its own,” said Edgenet CEO Steve Proctor. “This top industry talent will help us lead the way in using product content to fundamentally evolve retail and give customers a true omnichannel experience.”

While at Lowe’s, Panzano also led numerous strategy, technology and performance improvement efforts for core U.S. home improvement and new business development programs. His accomplishments include implementing a “center of excellence” for master data management and spearheading several large initiatives regarding item data management, GTIN and data content for commerce.

The hiring of Solomon and Panzano continues a period of huge momentum at Edgenet, whose industry-leading product content platform and customer-first mentality address the current market need for customer-obsessed digital experiences
