Bemax, a Dallas-based international distributor, launched a U.S. retail e-commerce today to complement its global online wholesale business.

When it comes to babies and emerging markets, Bemax Inc. has things covered. The Dallas-based distributor of disposable diapers sells to wholesalers and retailers in South Africa and other growing markets across Africa and Europe.

The company launched a wholesale e-commerce site two years ago at Bemaxinc.com/store, where international customers can place bulk orders for its Mother’s Choice and Mother’s Touch diaper brands.

Today, in an effort to publicize its brand as well as expand sales, it expanded directly into the online retail market in the United States and Canada with the launch of its first retail e-commerce site at Bemaxinc.com/webstore.

“We are excited to start welcoming our online customers from the U.S.,” CEO Taiwo Aimasiko says. “We have received tremendous interest from prospective customers across North America.”

Bemax did not immediately return a request for more information about its e-commerce operations. After launching its B2B site in October 2015, it noted that it recorded $73,500 in online sales during the site’s first month.
