Jerome Griffith will officially take the reins in early March.

Clothing retailer Lands’ End has hired a new permanent CEO three months after Federica Marchionni stepped down.

Lands’ End, No. 44 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, hired Jerome Griffith to be its new CEO. Griffith starts at Lands’ End at the beginning of March. Griffith spent the past seven-plus years as CEO at upscale luggage manufacturer Tumi Inc. (No. 393) before leaving in August after luggage manufacturer Samsonite bought the company for $1.8 billion.

Griffith takes over from interim CEOs Joseph Boitano and James Gooch, who had been serving in that role since late September when Marchionni resigned from the top job after less than two years. Once Griffith takes over, Boitano will return to his position as chief merchandising and design officer, while Gooch will resume his duties as chief operating and financial officer.

“Jerome is an exceptionally gifted leader with an impressive track record of spearheading growth and expansion at several iconic apparel and consumer goods companies,” Lands’ End board chairman Josephine Linden said. “Over the course of his career, Jerome has demonstrated a special talent for innovation in design and functionality to attract new customers while upholding the quality, value, service and products that current customers love.”

Lands’ End saw its online sales decline to an Internet Retailer-estimated $1.141 billion last year, down 5% from $1.201 billion in 2014.
