BorderGuru, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hermes Group, has been chosen as a logistics partner to facilitate the continued international expansion of REVOLVE, a leading online retail destination for coveted brands and emerging designers based in the United States.

Hamburg/Los Angeles – Dec. 12, 2016 – BorderGuru, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hermes Group, has been chosen as a logistics partner to facilitate the continued international expansion of REVOLVE, a leading online retail destination for coveted brands and emerging designers based in the United States. This agreement goes into immediate effect. As part of the collaboration, BorderGuru will be responsible for shipping fashion items purchased online to REVOLVE customers in Australia and Europe. Services provided include home deliveries and all customs clearance procedures.

REVOLVE started working with BorderGuru in August 2016 with express shipping service to Australia. REVOLVE’s second largest market outside of the United States, Australia also is the furthest reach for international shipping from its Los Angeles home base. BorderGuru and REVOLVE collaborated to enable free express shipping with three-day delivery to customers in Australia, and expect to draw on Hermes’ logistics to expand similar services to all countries in the European Union (EU), accessing a new client base of young, web-savvy women in Europe.

“We are a very customer-centric company and want to provide all of our customers, no matter where they’re located, the same fast and easy shipping benefits. After extensive research for the right logistic partnership, we were very excited that REVOLVE is able to offer free three-day express shipping to Australia. We have found BorderGuru to be a flexible and reliable partner and are delighted to work with them to fully support our growth strategy on the European continent and in other key markets,” says Mike Karanikolas, co-founder and CEO, REVOLVE.

Top-selling brands found on REVOLVE include For Love & Lemons, Lovers + Friends, Tularosa, LPA, House of Harlow 1960, Free People and Equipment. Many of these brands are either exclusive to REVOLVE or are hard to find in Europe. REVOLVE’s new express shipping option provides the opportunity for Europe-based customers to order favorite pieces on a Monday and have it delivered in time to wear out that weekend. Kai Li, vice president of international, REVOLVE, adds, “In Australia, we have already seen a significant growth in sales, which can partly be attributed to expedient delivery and an improved customer experience. REVOLVE views Europe as a key market and we are looking forward to successfully expanding our business with Hermes.”

As part of the Hermes Group (100 percent owned by the Hamburg-based Otto Group), BorderGuru can instantly count on an established, pan-European logistics network in 28 countries of the EU with over 36,000 ParcelShops and a track record of trading expertise. The family-owned Otto Group is the second biggest retailer in the world following Amazon. In Germany, for example, Hermes has attained a market-leading rate of over 99 percent success in delivery. Malte Gosau, managing director, BorderGuru, says, “We are excited that REVOLVE has chosen us as a shipping partner. The requirements this internationally known, Los Angeles–based online retailer places on a quality logistic experience will allow us to demonstrate BorderGuru’s full range of services in global e-commerce. We are looking forward to tapping other markets with suitable services together in the future.”
