Todd Sprinkle led QVC’s foray into mobile commerce.

QVC is putting a sprinkle atop its information technology department—Todd Sprinkle, that is.

Sprinkle was promoted to chief information officer of the television and online retailer, No. 10 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide. A QVC spokeswoman said Thursday that the company’s previous chief information officer, Linda Dillman, is retiring.

Sprinkle has held a variety of roles with QVC since 2007, most recently vice president of IT planning, strategy and effectiveness, according to his LinkedIn profile. In announcing his promotion Wednesday, QVC credited him with “the development of the QVC for iPad App and QVC’s responsive design implementation.” QVC ranks No. 15 in the 2017 Internet Retailer Mobile 500.

Before joining QVC in 2007, he spent more than a decade with television giant Turner Broadcasting System Inc.

“Todd’s expertise in e-commerce and broadcast technology will be instrumental in continuing to build agile world-class technology platforms to drive our growth and deliver outstanding service,” says Mike George, QVC president and CEO.
