Don Grimes was named to the position in June 2015.

Don Grimes has stepped down as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of luxury retailer Neiman Marcus today after a year and a half in the position.

No reason was given for Grimes’ resignation, which is effective immediately. In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Neiman Marcus writes “Mr. Grimes’ resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the corporation regarding its operations, policies or practices.” Neiman Marcus, No. 36 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, did not say who will be handling Grimes’ duties in the interim and could not be reached immediately for additional comment.

Grimes was hired in 2015 to oversee distribution and fulfillment, among other areas, for Neiman Marcus. He had spent the previous seven years as the chief financial officer at Wolverine Worldwide Inc. (No. 257), a manufacturer of footwear, apparel and accessories.
