Brookstone Inc. has a new CEO.

Steven Goldsmith has taken the helm of the specialty products and electronics retailer, No. 258 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide.

Goldman replaces Tom Via, who held the position from December 2014 through June, according to Via’s LinkedIn profile.

Goldsmith has worked at several Top 500 retailers. Most recently, he spent three and a half years as president of The Shopping Channel (No. 173) and executive vice president, merchandising, at Sears Canada from 2011-12.  From 2007-11, he was executive vice president at Limited Brands Direct (part of L Brands Inc., No. 28), where he led marketing, merchandising and e-commerce for Victoria’s Secret Direct and Bath & Body Works Direct. He also has held executive positions at Amazon.com Inc. (No. 1), Rue La La (No. 80) and The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. (No. 169).

According to Internet Retailer’s Top500Guide.com, Brookstone’s online sales have declined over the past three years to an Internet Retailer-estimated $100 million, down 12.9% from $114.8 million in 2013.
