Jared Blank joins Bluecore as senior vice president of data analysis and insights.

Marketing automation company Bluecore has added a fashion industry veteran to its executive team.

Jared Blank is senior vice president of data analysis and insights at Bluecore. Blank had previously done two stints at apparel manufacturer and retailer Tommy Hilfiger, most recently as the company’s vice president of e-commerce, a position he left in April 2015 to become chief marketing officer at coupon site DealNews.

Tommy Hilfiger was a Bluecore client during Blank’s tenure there, which means he’s familiar with the company’s platform. “I’ve been lucky enough to work with Jared for many years now, and his intimate knowledge of both our platform and the business challenges our customers face on a daily basis make Jared a critical addition to our executive team,” Bluecore co-founder and CEO Fayez Mohamood says.

Bluecore analyzes a consumer’s behavioral data to automatically generate personalized email messages, the vendor says. Bluecore charges retailers a flat monthly fee based on online traffic, similar to how vendors of analytics technology charge clients. It is listed as the email marketing provider for SmartSign.com LLC, No. 425 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, and the personalization vendor for Destination XL Group Inc. (No. 280). Bluecore says it has more than 200 customers that represent more than 325 high-end apparel, electronics, automotive and other consumer brands.

Bluecore in December closed a $21 million funding round led by equity firm Georgian Partners. The company was known as TriggerMail until January 2015, when it rebranded.
