The pair are the second and third major hires made by Shoes.com in the past two weeks.

Canadian footwear e-retailer Shoes.com is adding to its leadership roster with a new pair of marketing executives.

Shoes.com, No. 151 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, hired Nordstrom Inc. veteran Bryan Galipeau as senior director of acquisition and Stephen Williams as director of marketing analytics. Both positions are newly created positions within Shoes.com.

Galipeau has spent the past nine-plus years at Nordstrom (No. 18 in the Top 500), the past four and a half years in social media, eventually becoming the retail chain’s director of social media, display advertising and media planning. Nordstrom ranked No. 77 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Social 500.

Williams, meanwhile, has spent the past five and a half years at mobile carrier T-Mobile US Inc., where his most recent position was director of product experience.

Galipeau and Williams are the second and third major hires made by Shoes.com in the past two weeks. Last week, the retailer announced it had hired Brad Wilson from online travel agency Travelocity to be its president. CEO Roger Hardy had been serving as president and CEO. A company spokeswoman says Shoes.com has been planning for some time to add staff but no future executive additions are in the works.

Wilson says Galipeau and Williams are “key to setting the company to lead in data-driven online shopping, helping us better understand our customers and provide unique customized experiences.”

Online sales at Shoes.com increased 149.9% year over year in 2015 to $223.0 million from $89.2 million the year before, according to Top500Guide.com.
