The 937,000-square-foot warehouse will open next summer, in time for holiday 2017.

Online sales are growing for Kohl’s Corp., and so is the amount of space the retailer needs to fulfill online orders.

Kohl’s, No. 19 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, will open a new, 937,000-square-foot e-commerce distribution center in Plainfield, Ind., next summer, in time for the 2017 holiday season. When it opens, the Kohl’s will have five fulfillment centers devoted toe-commerce and a total of 14 distribution centers.

“We are committed to providing an easy experience to Kohl’s customers, and a key part of this is being able to deliver amazing products to them more quickly and efficiently,” Kohl’s chief operating officer Sona Chawla said.

Kohl’s does not break out online sales in its quarterly earnings reports, but on its Q2 2016 earnings call last month CEO Kevin Mansell told analysts online sales grew in the mid-teens year over year during the quarter ended July 30.
