Melissa Weiss and Michael Concannon become Eloquii’s chief marketing officer and chief technology officer, respectively.

Fast growing women’s plus-size apparel manufacturer and e-retailer Eloquii Design Inc. has added a pair of Amazon vets to its executive suite.

Eloquii, No. 604 in the Internet Retailer 2016  Top 1000, hired Melissa Weiss as chief marketing officer and Michael Concannon as chief technology officer.

Weiss spent three and a half years at Amazon (No. 1 in the  Top 1000), rising to become the online retail giant’s head of brand marketing and strategy before leaving in June 2014. She was most recently senior vice president of marketing at J.Crew Group Inc. (No. 49).

Concannon, meanwhile, was most recently chief technology officer at Amazon-owned e-commerce group Quidsi Inc., having served in that role from July 2014-February 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to joining Quidsi, he had been the vice president of e-commerce at bookseller Barnes & Noble (No. 54 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide), from December 2010 through May 2014. During his three years overseeing Barnes & Noble’s e-commerce, from 2011 to 2013, the bookseller grew its online sales revenue to an Internet Retailer-estimated $1.403 billion, up 63.5% from $858.1 million in 2011, according to Top500Guide.com.

“Michael is a deeply experienced technology and e-commerce executive, who will enable us to further build on our strong digital platform to provide even better service and more targeted outreach while also streamlining our operations,” Eloquii CEO Mariah Chase said. “Melissa is a skilled and forward-thinking fashion retail and digital marketing executive, who brings a clear vision of how Eloquii can even more deeply engage with our current customers and attract new ones.”
