Web-only retailer Wayfair will make Porch.com’s services a choice at checkout for shoppers in 15 markets.

Online furniture and home furnishings retailer Wayfair LLC aims to make it easier for shoppers to get their bookcases assembled and ceiling fans installed.

Wayfair, No.  24 in the Internet Retailer 2016 Top 500 Guide, today announced it is working with Porch.com, a website that connects homeowners with service professionals, to integrate Porch’s new Porch Retail Solution for Wayfair customers. Here’s how it works: Shoppers on Wayfair.com who live in one of 15 U.S. markets will be able to connect with a local contractor by adding Porch “Home Services” to their shopping cart..

Shoppers will receive an estimate on how much installation will cost and will be charged when the project is completed.

“Until now, projects have required two separate transactions: needing to find the product that is right for you and then finding a qualified person to help with assembly and installation,” Porch.com CEO Matt Ehrlichman says. “Together, Wayfair and Porch remove this friction and make the entire project easy to complete.”

“We are able to further enhance the shopping experience for our customers as we help them bring their home decorating and renovation projects to life,” Wayfair senior vice president Steve Oblak says.

Amazon.com Inc. (No. 1 in the Top 500) launched a similar service last year with Amazon Home Services, which is w available in 30 U.S. markets. Amazon says the program is growing by 20% month over month.

Wayfair is not the first retailer Porch.com has paired with, though it is the first to utilize the Porch Retail Solution. The new Porch Retail Solution allows retailers to offer installation services by Porch-certified contractors on the checkout pages of their websites, as Wayfair is doing. Porch began working with home improvement retailer Lowe’s Cos. Inc. (No. 27) two years ago. Employees in Lowe’s stores can search Porch.com on mobile devices to connect shoppers with a contractor when a shopper needs installation assistance.

Wayfair is a finalist for three awards at the second annual Internet Retailer Excellence Awards, including the E-Retailer Growth Award, E-Retailer Marketer of the Year and Internet Retailer of the Year, which will be awarded June 8 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place during the 12th annual Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition.

The 15 metropolitan areas in which Wayfair and Porch.com are offering the service are:
