Alibaba Group (NYSE: BABA) announced the appointment of Jane Jiang as Chief People Officer, effective immediately. Jane assumes this role from her current position of Deputy Chief People Officer and replaces Lucy Peng who will focus on her role as CEO of Ant Financial Services Group.

In this new capacity, Jane will lead the ongoing strategy and operations for talent, organizational development and culture. As a founding member of Alibaba Group, Jane has held many important leadership roles in the company. She is widely recognized as one of the most ardent guardians and upholders of Alibaba’s culture and values, as well as the role model of all Alibaba employees and has made significant contributions in many area over the past years, including the advancement in our organizational structure, attraction of top talent and innovations in people management.
