Underscores leadership in on-demand manufacturing excellence, now serving more than 1 million sellers worldwide.

San Francisco, CA – February 4, 2016 – Leading social commerce platform Teespring is expanding its executive leadership team, bringing on Douglas Myers as Vice President, Global Operations.  This underscores the company’s leadership and growing investment in on-demand manufacturing excellence. Teespring also crossed a significant new milestone in January, with one million people in 164 countries around the world now registered Teespring sellers, as the company continues its rapid growth.

“The power of a good idea is at the core of Teespring,” said Walker Williams, co-founder and CEO of Teespring. “We enable entrepreneurs globally to design and sell custom apparel with no risk.  It’s essential that we deliver high-quality product to their buyers as efficiently as possible.  Doug brings the domain expertise and international experience required to aggressively scale this business in 2016 and beyond.”

Myers brings 15 years of experience to his new role and will be based in Teespring’s Kentucky production facility.   Most recently, he served as Vice President of Global Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma for Luxottica Retail North America.  Prior, he held executive manufacturing and distribution positions with Hillshire Brands, Agilent Technologies, Target and Pepsi.  He holds both an MBA and a bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University.

“Teespring is redefining commerce through on-demand, real-time manufacturing,” said Myers. “We’re tapping into the power of personalization and unlocking opportunities for entrepreneurs, influencers and brands that were never before possible. This unique approach of demand-driven production requires a different way of thinking and operating.  I’m excited to expand on the strong platform and team the company has built as we continue to innovate the Teespring supply chain.”
