NEW YORK – HelloFresh is now launching its successful mobile app for the Android operating system, making it even easier to meet the needs of busy lifestyles. The app has been available on iPhone iOS since August 2015.
HelloFresh, the leading meal kit delivery brand globally, is now offering its app to Android users, too. With this investment in the mobile platform, the company is emphasizing its claim of setting new standards as the innovative leader in the industry. HelloFresh is optimally positioned to benefit from the growing number of users of mobile applications.
“The expansion of our mobile platform is an important step for our further growth. We now offer virtually every smartphone user direct access to a healthy diet and delicious dishes,” says Nuno Simaria, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at HelloFresh. “With the interactive user interface and our integrated functions, we offer our customers clear added value. In the future, they can use our services even better, more easily and more conveniently.”
Latest technological standards
The HelloFresh app is characterized by a universal design and offers users the best user-friendliness on both smartphones and tablets alike. The iOS version was also completely programmed based on Swift, the latest programming language from Apple. This enables permanent integration into the latest Apple technology, such as linking with the Apple HealthKit app and the Apple Watch.
Easy access to delicious, healthy and simple recipes
The HelloFresh app is geared towards both existing subscribers and interested users who do not yet have a HelloFresh account. The app is thus suitable for increasing customer loyalty, as well as gaining new customers.
HelloFresh customers can now manage their orders even more easily with the app: all of the information on their latest orders can be accessed anywhere, anytime. Push notifications remind them to select their favorite dishes for their box, plus customers can always keep an eye on the status of their delivery with automatic updates. The HelloFresh app also includes current and past recipes in HelloFresh boxes. The app therefore offers access to one of the largest mobile recipe collections.
“With our app, we aim to give users even simpler, easy access to the HelloFresh cooking experience,” says Seth Goldman, CEO of HelloFresh US. “And the app is even worthwhile for users who aren’t yet HelloFresh customers: it enables them to easily expand their recipe repertoire.”
HelloFresh currently operates in Germany, the United Kingdom, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia and the USA. HelloFresh delivered 13.2 million meals in the 3-month period up to 30 September 2015, and 6.1 million in November 2015. HelloFresh was founded in November 2011 and is based in Berlin.
