Francine Della Badia will take over the retailer’s top spot on June 1 as founder and current CEO Andy Dunn becomes executive chairman.

The founder and CEO of retailer Bonobos Inc., Andy Dunn, is giving himself a new title and making room for a new CEO, Francine Della Badia. Bonobos Inc., No. 270 in the Internet Retailer 2015 Top 500 Guide, is the parent company of men’s clothing brand Bonobos, women’s brand AYR and golf line Maide.

Della Badia was most recently at Coach Inc., No. 82 in the Top 500 Guide, as president of North America retail. She started at Coach in 1999, holding roles in merchandising prior to running the North America Retail division. She has worked at Victoria’s Secret, J.Crew and Gap Inc.

“After two years of thinking about this transition and five years of getting to know Fran, I am thrilled to introduce her as our next CEO.  Her proven leadership capabilities and incredibly strong retail experience make her uniquely qualified for this position,” Dunn said. “For the past eight years I’ve been serving dual roles as CEO and chairman. As the company scales rapidly, it became increasingly clear that these jobs need dedicated attention.”

Dunn “will serve as partner to Della Badia,” and continue to lead the board and be the Bonobos spokesman, according to the company.

“During the past eight years [Andy] has established an extremely loyal Bonobos following and developed an incredible team. I feel privileged and excited to lead this industry pioneer into its next phase of growth,” Della Badia said.

In May 2014, Bonobos hired Ron Thurston to help bridge the gap between how consumers shop online and in its stores. In July, the company received $55 million in a Series D funding round to pay for 30 additional bricks-and-mortar “guideshops” that let shoppers try on the brand’s clothing. The retailer then fulfills orders from its web inventory. The new guideshops are set to open by the end of 2016.
