The move comes one week after it debuted the service in Miami and Baltimore.

Amazon.com Inc. just a week ago said it would roll out Prime Now one-hour delivery to other U.S. markets this year. North America’s largest e-retailer followed up on that promise by today launching the service in Dallas.

Amazon Prime Now offers delivery of goods in as little as one hour to members of Amazon Prime for a fee of $7.99. Consumers place their order through Amazon’s Prime Now mobile app, available for Apple, Android and Amazon mobile devices.

Consumers who want to use Prime Now can get delivery from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. If a customer is OK with waiting two hours, there’s no delivery fee.

Amazon launched Prime Now in December for New York consumers in Manhattan and later to Brooklyn; last week it launched to consumers in Baltimore and Miami. It is available in 24 Dallas ZIP codes.

Amazon is No. 1 in the Internet Retailer 2014 Top 500 Guide.
