Canada Goose’s first ecommerce site, www.canadagoose.com, serving consumers in Canada, went live in August.

BURLINGTON, Mass.–Oct. 29, 2014– Demandware®, Inc. (NYSE: DWRE), the industry-leading provider of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, today announced that Canada Goose, the iconic outdoor luxury apparel brand, is using Demandware Commerce to power its global direct-to-consumer strategy. Canada Goose’s first ecommerce site, www.canadagoose.com, serving consumers in Canada, went live in August.

Founded in Toronto, Canada over 50 years ago, Canada Goose is widely recognized for manufacturing iconic and authentic jackets, proudly made in Canada. The company is dedicated to providing a luxury product to its customers, and takes pride in its reputation for quality, functionality and style. Today, Canada Goose produces a range of jackets, vests, hats, gloves and other cold weather apparel, which are sold in more than 50 countries.

“For Canada Goose, our ecommerce site is more than a sales vehicle; it’s a destination that brings our customers closer to the brand, regardless of the channel they use to make a purchase,” said Jacob Pat, Vice President of IT, Canada Goose. “With Demandware Commerce, we now have a strong digital backbone for global commerce operations that allows us to have complete control over the brand experience, and gain the flexibility and scalability to continually innovate and expand our reach.”

The Canada Goose ecommerce site was designed with a strong emphasis on the company’s brand and heritage. The site features extensive information on how its products are made, the company’s history, and Goose People, the company’s global ambassadors, who bring the story to life through compelling imagery, narrative and videos. In addition, sophisticated search – including the ability to sort products by color, size, product line and TEI (Thermal Experience Index) – helps consumers explore products quickly and easily. The “Find a Retailer” option is prominently displayed throughout the site to support the company’s traditional distribution channels, and the site is mobile optimized using the responsive web design capabilities of the Demandware platform.

“Canada Goose is an iconic brand known for superior quality, authentic style and innovative materials. With Demandware, the company is able to capture the essence of the brand and translate it into a compelling shopping experience for consumers,” said Jeffrey Barnett, COO, Demandware. “As the company continues to advance its direct-to-consumer strategy through additional geographies and channels, Demandware will scale to support their growth initiatives, regardless of what they may be. We are excited to add them to our client roster and are committed to their long-term success.”
