The marketplace has raised more than $7 million since its founding last year.

Online used furniture marketplace Chairish Inc. has raised $4 million in a Series A funding round led by Azure Capital and O’Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures.

A number of private equity executives also participated, including David Bonderman, founder of TPG Capital; Karl Peterson, the co-founder of Hotwire and TPG partner; and Spencer Rascoff, CEO of real estate web site Zillow and a Hotwire co-founder.

The San Francisco-based marketplace features used items for sale on consignment. It shares up to 80% of an item’s sale price with the consignor.

“We aim to change how people think about decorating their home, because a home with style doesn’t have to cost a fortune,” says Chairish co-founder and chairman Gregg Brockway.
