“Consumer behavior and the way that people are accessing the Internet is changing,” says Matt Swan, a client strategist at Affiliate Window. “We have seen a significant increase in the percentage of traffic originating from mobile devices. In addition, we are seeing more advertisers optimizing their sites for mobile in order to convert this traffic. Where affiliate tracking was once an afterthought, it is now being added to advertisers’ mobile sites as a priority so we are naturally seeing more of these transactions track and affiliates remunerated for their efforts.”
