Look.com is Quidsi’s 10th e-commerce property.

First came such products as diapers, soap, children’s books, toys, housewares and organic goods, all of them existing as separate brands and sites but bound together by the guiding hand of a shared shopping cart and top-of-page tabs. Now, for its 10th e-retail property, Amazon.com Inc.-owned Quidsi Inc. has launched a site for children’s clothes and shoes called Look.com.

The newest entrant, introduced today, joins a list of e-commerce operations that includes Diapers.com (baby supplies), Wag.com (pet supplies) and AfterSchool.com (sports and activity gear for children). All the Quidsi sites have now added to the row of tabs across the top a tab with a “New” banner that says Look.com with the word “Clothing.”

Look.com sells some 40,000 items from more than 150 brands, including Carter’s, Keds, Joe’s Jeans, Columbia Sportswear, Splendid and Pink Chicken, Quidsi says. Customers receive free one- or two-day delivery for orders of at least $35.

“We know shopping for, or with, your child can be a stressful experience—from searching and finding styles and sizes that you both like, to dealing with dressing room meltdowns and unexpected returns,” says Ganesh Rao, site leader of Look.com.

Amazon, No. 1 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, bought Quidsi in 2011 for approximately $500 million. Last month, Wag.com introduced an online pet pharmacy.
