Dan Pingree also was a senior manager for Microsoft’s MSN.

Moosejaw Mountaineering, No. 276 in the Internet Retailer Top 500, has a new vice president of marketing.

Dan Pingree comes from Drugstore.com, where between 2007 and 2012 he was the e-retailer’s senior director, general manager, health category sites. Moosejaw says he he launched and managed five health and beauty category product category sites while there. Walgreen Co., No. 33 in the Top 500, bought Drugstore.com in  2011.

Before Drugstore.com, Pingree worked as senior director of product management for HouseValues, a real estate marketing and lead generation company. He also was senior product manager at MSN, a Microsoft Corp. information portal and e-mail service.

Pingree now will oversee the outdoor gear and apparel retailer’s marketing across search, social, e-mail, stores and other areas. “We are very pleased to have Dan join the team,” says Eoin Comerford, Moosejaw’s president and CEO. “He brings a wealth of great e-commerce skills from his days with Drugstore.com and Microsoft. The clincher is that he’s an avid outdoor enthusiast that really uses the products that he’ll be marketing.”
