Consumers can shop among 30,000 items from some 100 brands.

Web-only retailer Diapers.com this week began selling clothing and shoes for babies and toddlers.  The new product lines include more than 30,000 apparel and shoe items from at least 100 brands.

“With the clothing and shoe shop at Diapers.com, we dramatically improved the shopping experience by offering enhanced functionality and tools that make it both fun and easy to find the clothes and shoes parents are looking for,” says Marc Lore, CEO of Quidsi, the parent of Diapers.com, Soap.com, Beautybar.com, Wag.com, YoYo.com and Casa.com. Quidsi is a subsidiary of Amazon.com Inc., No. 1 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. The e-retailer now sells goods in 13 categories, including maternity, party supplies, nursery, and bath and skin care.

Clothing and shoes appears as one of the product category tabs in the Diapers.com home page navigation bar. Additionally, clothing and shoes is the first group on the site to feature a “Find it Fast” box in which customers can quickly select if they are searching for clothing or shoes for a boy or girl, as well as narrow choices by size, category and type.

The new shop will follow Diapers.com’s standard practice of shipping all orders within 24 to 48 hours, with free shipping on order of more than $49, and no fees for returns. The clothing and shoe section of the site offers such brands as Carter’s, Osh Kosh, Tea Collection and Pink Chicken.
