PartyLite has built a digital catalog for various consumer devices.

PartyLite, a merchant that specializes in candles, home fragrances and décor, has built a digital catalog designed for smartphones, tablets, its e-commerce site and Facebook page that enables customers to buy directly through the catalog.

The catalog features large imagery and other rich media, and a checkout process that allows customers to add products to a shopping cart from product pages and then check out, without having to make a separate visit to the retailer’s e-commerce site. Many catalog tablet apps present in vivid style a merchant’s complete catalog, but require shoppers to branch off from the app to the e-commerce site to complete a purchase.

PartyLite selected the CommercePro system from mobile commerce, social and web technology provider Zmags Inc. to create the new catalog.

“Our catalogs are rich and engaging so that PartyLite online shoppers and Facebook fans feel like they are still part of a true PartyLite experience and are more motivated to browse and purchase,” says Michael Norris, president of PartyLite North America. “Our greatest strength is the unique home party experience that our independent consultants create. They can now extend that experience to customers wherever customers spend their time.”

PartyLite employs nearly 60,000 independent party consultants in 18 countries, the company says. Consultants assist consumers in planning parties. Consumers can then purchase products through the company’s online, mobile and social channels.
