The retailer offers free shipping for all purchases, except for online marketplace items.

Best Buy Co. today became the latest major retailer to announce its holiday shipping program. The electronics retailer will ship any product for free between Nov. 1 and Dec. 27. The offer requires no minimum order value, Best Buy says.

The offer is more aggressive than the one announced earlier this week by Sears Holdings Corp. Consumers receive free shipping from Oct. 30 to Dec. 19 for orders of more than $99 placed on Sears.com, and on orders of more than $49 on Kmart.com.

“We are offering free shipping on everything sold on BestBuy.com—everything,” says Barry Judge, executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “Unlike some retailers, no minimum purchase will be required and free shipping will apply to the over 400,000 items sold at BestBuy.com—with no exceptions.” The free shipping offer, however, does not apply to products purchased through outside retailers on Best Buy’s new online marketplace.

Best Buy is No. 11 in Internet Retailer’s Top 500 Guide. Sears is No.7.
