Place an online order at Kiva’s IRCE booth and get it delivered by a robot.

Kiva Systems Inc. will feature live demonstrations of its warehouse robots at the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition 2011 next week.

Visitors to Kiva’s IRCE booth will be able to place an online order as part of a demonstration of Kiva’s technology and receive the ordered product from a Kiva robot, says Mitch Rosenberg, VP of Marketing and Product Management.

Kiva will also announce a new client from among the Top 100 online retailers as listed in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

In addition, Kiva CEO Mick Mountz will give a presentation in the IRCE E-Commerce Technology Theater on what has led several major retailers to work with Kiva’s robotic warehouse system.

Kiva’s robots use special software that instructs them how to find ordered products on portable racks and bring them to warehouse pick-and-pack stations. Kiva’s robots are used by retailers including Office Depot Inc., Gilt Groupe Inc., Quidsi Inc.’s Diapers.com and Toys ‘R’ Us Inc. Office Depot is No. 5 in the Top 500 Guide, Gilt No. 49, Diapers.com No. 72, and Toys ‘R’ Us No. 29.
