The musical instruments retailer is selling online in more than 90 countries.

Musical instruments retailer Guitar Center now is selling online to more than 90 countries worldwide, partnering with FiftyOne, a provider of international e-commerce services and infrastructure to U.S. retailers.

Guitar Center is using the FiftyOne platform to extend its international e-commerce operations and to accept payment in 42 currencies, with all applicable taxes, duties, and shipping costs included in full. Guitar Center operates GuitarCenter.com and Musician’s Friend Inc., No. 38 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, which operates MusiciansFriend.com.

International visitors to the site can click on a “change country” link on the home page to have prices displayed in their preferred currencies. Order totals are guaranteed at the exchange rate set when orders are placed.

“It’s only natural that international consumers would want access to our online catalog of premium merchandise,” said Richie Pidanick, vice president at Guitar Center. “We wanted to make sure that these consumers had a first-class customer experience from the moment they land on our web site and start shopping until the moment the order arrives at their door.”

Guitar Center is a multichannel retailer of guitars, amplifiers, percussion, keyboards, pro-audio and recording equipment. Its retail store subsidiary operates 214 Guitar Center stores across the U.S.
